The role

The Outbound Despatch Team Leader assists in the overall running of their department. This role provides support and guidance to department team members and ensures that all processes are performed in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

What you'll be doing

Assist with scheduling and timecard approvals for accurate records.
Provide daily leadership and support to your department Team.
Aid the Supervisor in workflow and workload planning, offering feedback.
Monitor workload and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.
Give positive and constructive feedback to Team Members.
Conduct informal meetings to address performance or conduct concerns and document them.
Complete weekly safety audits to assess risks.
Address unsafe behaviours and assist in investigating incidents, providing recommendations.
Support loss prevention practices and report issues to the Supervisor/Coordinator.

What we're looking for

Prior experience in a warehouse leadership role.
Proven ability to drive teams to meet targets and KPIs.
Proficiency in interpreting productivity and performance data.
Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
Effective verbal communication and performance documentation skills.
Good computer literacy, including MS Excel-based reporting.
Basic knowledge of rostering legislation and standards.
